I have been reading my long held book, Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill this last few days. I got a lot out of it when I first read it, but this time, I recognise that the guidelines in this amazing book have really played a massive effect on my life!

In his all-time classic book Napoleon Hill tells the story of  R. U. Harby.

Harby’s uncle had gold fever, so he staked his claim and started digging.  After a lot of hard work, the uncle found a vein of ore, so he covered up his find and returned home to raise the money for the machinery that he would need to bring the ore to the surface.

They raised the money and Darby travelled with his uncle back to the site to make their fortune.

Things started well and before long, they had enough to clear their debts.  They were excited, everything from here on would be profit and things were looking good.

Then the supply of gold stopped.  The vein of ore had disappeared.

They kept on digging, but found nothing.

After a while, they quit in frustration and sold their machinery to a junk man for a few hundred dollars.

After they went home in disappointment, the astute junk man called in a mining engineer who checked the mine and calculated that there was a vein of gold just three feet from where Darby and his uncle had stopped digging.

The junk man went on to make millions from the mine.

Darby returned home, paid back everyone who had lent him money and was determined to learn from his mistake in giving up too soon.

He went on to become a phenomenally successful insurance salesman, more than recouping what he would have made from the gold mine.

He learned the lesson that you need to persevere through difficulties and stay focused if you are to become successful.

How Many Times Have You Been Tempted To Give Up?

It has happened to me often. I have worked hard on a project and the efforts I have made don’t seem to have paid off in the time frame I have envisaged. Even in my Enagic Kangen Water business there have been times where I have felt disappointed in the progress of my global team, but I have stuck with it and then the reward comes as momentum has improved again.

The truth is, if you have done your initial business research correctly then perseverance will pay off. It helps to have a passion for your project and a determination to see it through.

Getting passion for a project is helped by having a clear vision for when your goal is achieved. That could be a promotion, an income target, freedom to enjoy life in a way that YOU decide or perhaps a new house or car! We are all motivated by different things. As I am now in my later years, my material goals are a lot less than the time my successful business gives me to enjoy life with my family.

And this talk of having a vision, reminds me to refer to the companion book of Think and Grow Rich which is You Were Born Rich, by Bob Proctor the leading light in The Secret – the Law of Attraction.

It fills me with passion and enthusiasm to see better health manifested into our customers. I gain rich reward from hearing about the success of my Global KangenWell team as their business expands and income increases.

My mentor and sponsor, Raymond Sun, teaches the principles of Bob Proctors message. He is truly an inspiration.

When Raymond suggested I join him in partnership in Enagic Kangen Water, he told me he envisaged that I would earn a high 6 figure income if I followed his guidance. It took me a while to understand how serious he was. True to his word, Raymond has achieved his personal goals with Enagic. And now, I am achieving mine.

Too often people who are looking for an additional income to help them afford modern day living they fall into the trap of promises of dream incomes from multi level marketing businesses but end up disappointed. Now each time I begin a new relationship with a customer I can create a new team with an initial sale income of $1710 or €1050, I get paid in Euros because that is where I am based. Imagine… if you had found me and I was on your $1710, 6a lane? You would have $1000’s in your bank right now.
